On the way back to SP/ 事の顛末＃３

As written before, I decided to stay at Ushuaia for 13 days because of the lack of money.

After I enjoyed the stay there, I took a flight back to São Paulo via Buenos Aires from Ushuaia.

It happened at a moment I was waiting for the boarding gate open.

I was checking inside of my backpack.

Then, there was an envelope which had R$250 inside....

...

......

......... ! ! !

It was that I had totally forgot the presence of the envelope inside of my backpack after I got robbed in Buenos Aires.

With that money, approximately equal to AR$625, I could have traveled from Ushuaia to El Calafate to see the Glacier Perito Moreno and many fantastic sights in Patagonia.

At that moment, I CALMLY closed my baggage and decided to proceed what I had to do...

以前書いた記事の続き。

帰りの飛行機に乗るべく、チェックインを済ませ、乗り口カウンター前で時間を潰していた時のこと。

リュックの中を整理していたら、なんとR$250（ブラジルの貨幣。約625アルゼンチンペソ。12,500円くらい。）が出てきたのだった。

それを発見した瞬間、いろんなことを頭が駆け巡った・・・（うん、それだけのお金があれば、足りなかった食費を補って余りあるよね。。。：その時の心のつぶやき）

が、この3週間の旅行をインターンシップでもらっていた1カ月分の給料でやりくりすると決めていたため、落ち込むというようなことはさほどなかった。

とはいえ、「埋蔵金」が発見された瞬間は声を出して笑ってしまった。あはは。

その後は、「埋蔵金」を見なかったことにして、ブエノス経由のサンパウロ行きの飛行機に乗り込んだのでありました。。。

Decision at Ushuaia/ 事の顛末＃2

I decided to keep travelling though I was robbed in Buenos Aires as written before.

During the journey, I was keeping my money in cash with me.

That's why I could make it although I lost my credit card.

And again, the problem, a limit in money, influenced on my travelling plan at Ushuaia....

From now on, I will write in Japanese.

つまりは、金欠（手持ち現金の不足）のためにパタゴニア周遊計画を断念し、ウスアイアで13日間過ごすことに決めたということである。

なにしろ、サンパウロのアルゼンチン航空の事務所に乗り込んで航空券を買ったときに、ウスアイアIn＋Outに決めてしまったのだから仕方がない。

パタゴニアを周遊するにしても、2月2日までにウスアイアに帰って、2月3日には飛行機に乗ってカラファテ・ブエノスアイレス経由で一気にサンパウロへ帰ることになっていたのである。

そもそも航空券の変更が利かないことに気付いたのは、ウスアイアに到着して4日後に、アルゼンチン航空の現地支店に直接確認した時であった。

仕方ないので、長距離バスで往復する計画に切り替え、カラファテ（El Calafate）に投宿して3泊ほどし、氷河を見に行くつもりで、情報収集をした。

計算の結果、往復のバス代も宿代も国立公園入園料も現地での氷河観覧ツアー代も手元にあるのに、その間の食費がまるまる足りないことが判明。

氷河観覧ツアーの代わりに、現地の宿で同志を募ってレンタカーで行くとか、朝6時前に国立公園のゲートを通れば入園料とられないとか、現地宿（Fujiという日韓宿）でバイトするなど、安くすませる手段はあったが、どちらも現地に行かないと実現可能か判別できない。

カラファテ行きを断念し、ウスアイアに13日間に続けることに決めた。

1月21日にウスアイア入りし、上野山荘という日本人宿に投宿したのが23日。そこから2月3日まで居座り続けた。

パタゴニアまで来る日本人の旅人たちは流石に玄人ばかりだった上に、半分以上の人が互いに南米のほかの場所で既に知り合っていたという場合が多かった。

そんな理由で、まったく旅慣れしていない自分が馴染めるか最初は不安だったのだが、滞在1週間目を過ぎたあたりで大分馴染めたと思う。

バイクや自転車でアメリカ大陸を縦断してる人々、夫婦やカップルで世界一周、はたまたJICAの青年海外協力隊でパタゴニアやパラグアイに来ている人など、様々な人に出会った。

日本にいてはなかなか会えないような人たちと地球の裏側で出会えたのは、例えようもなく不思議な感覚だった。

最後に、日本に帰ってきてからの彼らを訪ねたいと思えたのは、13日間ウスアイアに居続けたからこそなのだと記しておきたい。

Accident in BsAs/ 事の顛末

In this article, I will write in Japanese about an accident that happened to me in Buenos Aires during my three-week long traveling in Argentina.

In summary, I was robbed of my purse in "subte A", the light blue subway but it didn't matter so much because fortunately the damage was not so big and I decided to keep going on besides that.

Only thing I have to say is "Please give my CPF card back!!" (^o^)/

と、既にあらましを冒頭に書いているわけだが、改めて日本語で書いてみようと思う。

＞＞＞

詰まる所、ブエノスアイレスの地下鉄で財布をすられたということである。

幸いにして財布に入っていたものは：

お金が約200ペソ（≒4000円）、学生証、運転免許証、大学生協組合員証、サンパウロ版SUICA、会社支給の昼食用デビットカード、ブラジル納税者ID、クレジットカード、、、

だった。

基本的に旅の予算は全て現金で、しかも本体は宿のセーフティボックスに入れていたので、旅に支障をきたすには至らず、事件の時に行こうとしていた日本料理屋にも当日のうちに行ったのだった。

時系列を追って詳細を箇条書きすると以下の通り：

１．昼間タンゴ生誕の地と言われるボカ地区へストリートタンゴを見に繰り出す。

２．同じ日本人宿の2人と一緒。

３．ボカ地区から港地区へ足を延ばし、その後、一人は宿へ。

４．残りの二人でPlaza de Mayo駅で地下鉄に乗車、夕方6時過ぎで大混雑。

５．Pasco駅で降りようとしたのを阻まれ、突破。ホームに降り立つも財布の不在に気付き、列車に戻る。

６．ドアが閉まる直前、一人降車したのが見えたが、気にせず車内を捜索。見つからず。

７．一つ先の駅で乗り換えて戻ろうとするも、片側路線しか止まらないということを知らず勝手に混乱（地図要参照）。

８．駅に戻っても、とりあえず翌日にGarantia（保障）の部局に電話しろの一点張り。

９．宿に帰ってクレジットを止める。

１０．仕切り直しのレストラン「日本橋」でのしゃぶしゃぶ。夏休み最後の日だとのことで、行ってよかった。サンパウロでもこの水準の肉を食したことがなかったので涙が出そうになった。

１１．翌日地下鉄警察に行って被害届の紙を取得。スペ語とポル語と英語が錯綜した。警察もお気楽。

原因として考えられるのは以下の通り。

１．サンパウロで8カ月何もなかったことで調子に乗っていた。

⇔通勤に地下鉄を使っていたため、地下鉄という乗り物に対して完全に気を許していたのは事実。実際にサンパウロで使っていた地下鉄緑線（Linha Verde）が市内で一番安全な列車だということを認識していれば、と思わなくもない。

宿でもオーナー兼管理人さんが非常に心配してくださった。本当に感謝の念が尽きない。

すられた当初はさすがに唖然茫然だったが、そんなつまらないことで旅の計画（といってもさした計画ではなかったが）を潰されてはたまらないという思いが先行し、なんとか立ち直ることが出来た。

クレジットカードを止めて直ぐに、しゃぶしゃぶを食べに行ってくれる宿の同居人がいてくれたことも幸いした。

一つ目の事の顛末は、これでお終い。

Israeli

I met and shared a room in a hostel for 2 days with some Israeli people.

They are almost the same years old as me, 20 - 30 years old.

In the first day at Ushuaia, I just talked a bit with them.

When I got up from bed, the people in the room were talking in a foreign language that I didn't know.

After I ate a dinner, we talked a little bit.

Then, I got to know the language was Hebrew and they were from Israel. Their pronunciation is like Arabic.

Then, on the next day, I talked more with them.

And I decided to spend the next day with them.

This is what is so-called "旅は道連れ、世は情け (Tabi wa michizure, yo wa nasake)"- meaning: when you travel, it is good to enjoy friendship among travelers you meet.

The idea to go trekking with them came into my mind just because I felt.

The third day comes.

I moved to another hostel but came back to the hostel I had been staying.

Then, we met up again and went trekking.

It was a reasonable trekking. So hard way and so balanced rest.

After the trekking, we came back to the town and made preparation for the dinner.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day with them.

Especially the conversation during the trekking was really interesting.

They finished the compulsory military service and now are traveling around the world.

Their country is in another world that I don't really know.

The experience with them was even a romantic incident for me.

Now I wish I visit them in the country in a near future.

On the other hand,

It was a bit shocking because I didn't know about them almost at all.

I wondered if I could call them "Jewish".

I wondered if I might ask them about their background.

But my worry was denied with their positive attitudes.

I made my knowledge about the country slightly deeper with their help and the experience with them.

上野山荘＃１

今回のアルゼンチン滞在は、ブエノスアイレスでもウスアイアでも標記の宿にお世話になった。

ちなみにウスアイアが本館、ブエノスアイレスが別館である。お間違えなく。

＜別館＠Buenos Aires＞

レビューの要望が一部からあったので、その文脈から先に。

・日本人バックパッカー御用達の宿

・観光用ホテルの集積地にあるため治安的にはやや難あり（常に狙われてると思った方がいい）

・（補）サンパウロに比べて欧州の薫り漂うブエノスでは、アジア人の浮きっぷりが半端ない。

・（補）日本人ならなおさら。

・ただし交通の便は非常にいいのでブエノス観光にはぴったり

・ドミトリー生活を苦としないのであればオススメ（安いスーパーは徒歩10分圏）

・オーナー兼管理人のおばちゃん、いい人です。（お世話になりました。）

飛行機の出発が遅れたため、ブエノスアイレスについたのも予定より1時間ほど遅れた。

そんな中、空港から市内のバスターミナルへ移動、電話したのが別館の電話番号だった。

受話器をとったのは、ツンとした感じの女性の声だったが、その晩は仮設ベッドに泊まることになるがそれでもよければということで宿泊が決定。

空港（EZE）から見てセントロの入口にあるバスターミナルからタクシーに乗るのも癪なので、うろうろしながら何とか辿り着いた。ぎりぎり日が暮れるまえだったこともあり、無事到着。

建物の扉の前に立って見て、ふと何階だったかメモし忘れていたことに気がつく。

なんとなく3階を押したら、日本語の応答があったのでほっと一安心。なかに入れてもらえた。

入ってみると、そこは古めかしい、築30年以上は経っていそうなアパルトメントだった。

加えて螺旋階段に囲まれた空間にあるエレベーターはドア（内・外の２つ）が手動のタイプのものだった。

サンパウロにも手動ドアのエレベーターはあったが、2枚とも手動のものはなかった。

とはいえ、過去にこのタイプのエレベーターで昇降した覚えがあり、むしろ懐かしい感じがした。

3階へあがって、いざ宿の中へ。

アパルトメントの各部屋に2階建てベッドを置き、複数人泊まれるようにしてある。

アパルトメントといっても天井がかなり高いので、広々と感じられる。

台所、冷蔵庫、シャワー、洗濯機、テレビ、インターネット（Wi-Fi）と一通りのインフラがそろっており、かなり快適である。

先ほどの受話器の声は、この宿のオーナーのおばちゃんだった。（この方の経緯については長くなるので、ここでは割愛。）

日本人宿ということで宿泊者は基本的に日本人だけ。

同じ南米ということでサンパウロと同じ心づもりで臨んだブエノスアイレスだったが、思いのほか差異の方が目について困惑してしまい、不安な面が多かった。

そんな時機での上野山荘別館という日本人宿だったので、心休まることこの上なかった。

だがそれにも増して、4泊しただけだが、オーナー兼管理人の伊都子さんにはいろいろよくしていただいた。感謝の念が尽きない。ありがとうございました。

Vacance

I decided to stay here in Ushuaia until I get back to São Paulo by plane.

It's mainly because I don't have much money enough to visit another point in Patagonia like El Calafate :P

But to my surprise, it is not so sad for me.

(A valley like "the Valley of the Wind")

Then, now I have realized that I am not a traveler who I mentioned before, but I just have my vacation after my work in this continent.

Anyway, I will enjoy the stay!

Japanese backpackers

I am not a usual Japanese backpacker who sets some things to see and plans to complete these targets, and whose purpose is just to travel around in order to see.

Since I moved to the apartment of Kagoshima do Brasil, I met many Japanese people who are so-called backpackers.

Here on the way of my travelling, again I have met this type of people.

My purpose to get out of my home country is not to travel around but to find something new for me.

With the latter reason, I have been doing the same things as they do.

But still I feel something different.

Probably it is because I wanted to live by myself, produce something, and leave something for the people with whom I live together.

Everybody has his/her own reason to "travel".

From now on, I will and should stand alone...

Ushuaia - El Fin del Mundo

After staying in Buenos Aires for 5 days, I flied again to Ushuaia, called the End of the World.

There is a famous hostel among Japanese backpackers, 上野山荘本館.

But in the beginning I decided to stay in a usual hostel located in the central area of town.

I just went to ride on a train. It is just a touristic thing but I really wanted to see and it costed so much X(

I climbed a hill called Glacier el Martial with my room mates - I will write about them later.

It was really amazing, refreshing, and inspiring.

Here the situation is more touristic than I have experienced in this continent. Many languages and many attractions.

Now I have to decide how to make most of the rest of days...

Visit a friend at La Plata

In the third day in Buenos Aires, I visited one of my Brazilian friends taking an internship in La Plata, a capital city of the state of Buenos Aires.

It took 1.5 hrs by bus.

The state government and the public university are located in.

The city was designed like a board of chess.

In the center of city, there are the Diet and the Catedral.

Before we met, there was a trouble: the ice cream cafe we were supposed to meet up has two shops in the city...

So, we met more than an hour later.

But finally we made it. At the moment when I made a phonecall to her, I was a bit moved.

After she took me around in the city as in the photos, we went to a trainee's house.

We had a dinner of Lasagnha that one of the Brazilian trainees there made for us.

Then, I got the last bus of the day back to Buenos Aires.

I enjoyed the day with my friend there. It is good to visit friends in a place you don't know!

Tango @BsAs

In Buenos Aires, I have been to a bay area called La Boca and a bar called Bar Sur to see the show of Tango.

Boca is the oldest bay in Argentina, like Santos in Brazil. Historically it was a place for the immigrants to enter to the country. Then, Tango was born as a result of the cultural mixture.

Nowadays it is a more turistic area. From my point, it is a bit disappointing. But in terms of the history, it is still worth visiting.

In another day, I went to the bar with my friends. First, we went to the center area of city to buy a cheaper ticket. It costed A$70 for the entry - if you pay directly, it costs two times more.

Night comes. We walked to the bar located in the east area of the capital. The show started later than explained.

A band played in dark with some little lights. And then, a couple started dancing. There were two couples to dance in that night. But I like this first one.

Among the musics behind the dances, there was Libertango, a music recently played by Yo Yo Ma.

Frankly speaking, I had thought the music was composed by the cello performer. But it is not true. This amazing music was composed by a famous Argentine composer, Astor Piazzolla.

Anyway, they were dancing in a more sophisticated way. It was more 舞う than ダンスする.

The man led his woman, and she followed him expressing her love.

With the music, the message gets deeper and deeper.

あるぜんちん

着きました。

イグアスの滝を見に行ったときに5時間だけ入国したことがあるので、これで2回目のアルゼンチン。

サンパウロの空港から飛行機が出てくるのが遅れた以外は特に大きな問題もなく、日暮れ前に宿に到着できた。

空港の到着ゲートの外側、バス停の向こう側には広大なラプラタ側が流れていてびっくりした。

空港でバス（の代わりに来たタクシー）に乗りRetiroという駅へ。

その脇のバスターミナルから歩いて宿についた。

適当なポルトガル語だったが運転手のオジサンと少し通じ合うことが出来て嬉しかった。

非常に限られた範囲しか見れていないが、サンパウロの街中に比べて大分見通しが利くという印象。

明日は、ブエノスアイレスを散歩します。
